stacey walyuchow

Thrilled to shine the proverbial + literal spotlight on a human + artist I greatly admire: stacey walyuchow.

A longtime artist and art enthusiast; Stacey found her most authentic + natural voice, over the last decade, though mixed media/handpainted collage depicting women’s inner worlds - emotions, struggles, triumphs, and reckoning with societal expectations… in short: their resilience.

Using her own personal experiences, together with the stories of women in her midst, in literature, and through song lyrics; Stacey weaves unexpected elements + proportions together, allowing the viewer to not only try to imagine the weight + meaning of each deliberate choice but to also - hopefully - resonate with the work in ways that they may well find surprising + enlightening. She is the best combination of poet/painter/thinker and I hope you’ll take a peek at her full body of work at her website Stacey Walyuchow Art .

Full disclosure that I have known Stacey for many years and have had the privilege of working alongside one another in art since 2015. I’m a proud OG collector of her work - two of her pieces hang in my studio and a commissioned work for my 50th birthday hangs in our bedroom, and I’ve had the joy of photographing her on many occasions. To say I’m an ALL-IN fan of hers is an understatement. 👯‍♀️

Hi, I’m Ned Radan, a Calgary-based fine art photographer. I’ve had a passion for photography since childhood. My journey into the business began in 2011—somewhat unexpectedly—when I left my daytime job to care for my son with special needs. While staying home with him, I started my fine art photography business.

I believe in creating artwork from scratch, crafting one-of-a-kind images, printing them to enhance tone and color, and framing them to create truly unique pieces.

My finished works have a distinctive western-style appearance, featuring frames.

Over the years, I’ve participated in numerous farmers’ and craft markets, selling both my photography and my wife’s handmade knitted creations, you can find her handiwork here: Lumi’s Knittles. If you’ve attended these events, you may have seen us there!

Lori thanks for the opportunity to share my work.
