It’s all connected.
Oh how I LOVE FALL! The colours, the invitation for slower mornings and earlier evenings, and the reminder that for everything there is a season…even the skiff of snow this weekend can’t bring me down! 🧡
Today - on Thanksgiving Day in Canada - I am especially grateful for the ability to forge my own path.
Some backstory… I love how - when you talk with someone - you can uncover how, even if varied, their career choices are so often a prism within which lay their inherent passions + truths. Case in point: I was recently chatting with a new acquaintance who, upon asking what I ‘do for a living’, replied with a quizzical expression ‘so: photography AND waterless beauty?’ 🤔 They seemed dubious but - if you know me, you know they are inherently aligned.
As you meander through life there are little seeds along the way that resonate, that we notice and tend to, and then those little seeds become living beings that we water and love, and eventually they grow into fully fledged beauties that then go on to nourish us in myriad ways. It’s symbiotic - the trauma/the dreams/the perseverance/the outcomes.
For me there are two driving ideals that have led me to my business today:
that art provides a tangible history,
and that we all deserve safe skincare + beauty products
…both acutely tied to losing Mom to Cancer when she was only 52.
